USM (university of Southern Maine, Portland) and the plastic factory, or the "kill the whales" campaign

Last week, in the course of one hour, I collected over 25 straws and the same number of plastic coffee cups and lids at the University of Southern Maine, Portland, campus, from only 3 garbage bins...

I'd say the majority, if I haven't sat down and done the math, were from Dunkin Donuts.

I've decided to take those straws, lids, and cups, to create a "dress" or a "robe" and properly label it as fashion from USM and USM students

After all, they gave me the raw materials.

Most notably, most of the straws lids and cups were put in "non-recyclable" bins, rather than "recyclable" bins.

I don't see there is any student on the USM campus monitoring where the trash gets put.

Whale killers? I think so.
